College and Foundation Apprenticeships
All Senior Phase (S4-6) pupils have an entitlement to take forwards vocational learning and qualifications through partnership programmes at college and with training providers. The My Brighter Future brochure outlines the key opportunities available within South Lanarkshire Council in the coming session. The main opportunities are:
the GradU8 programme of Skills for Work courses at National 4 and 5 (one full day per week)
a two-year Foundation Apprenticeship taken across S5 and S6, to lead to a Level 6 qualification (two afternoons per week)
a one-year Foundation Apprenticeship taken in S5 or S6, to lead to a Level 6 qualification (two full days per week).
