Languages, Latin, Philosophy, & RMPS
Welcome to the Languages, Latin, Philosophy, and RMPS (Religious, Moral, and Philosophical Studies) Faculty at Lanark Grammar School!
Our faculty is dedicated to developing a love for languages, critical thinking, and cultural understanding among our students.
In Modern Languages, we offer a range of languages including French and German (Spanish is available to S6 pupils this session) equipping students with essential communication skills and a global perspective.
Philosophy confronts pupils with fundamental questions about knowledge, ethics, and existence - whilst honing their critical thinking skills.
Through RMPS, students explore diverse world views, ethical questions, and philosophical ideas, encouraging them to think deeply about their place in the world.
Our Latin courses provide a unique opportunity to explore the ancient world, enhancing linguistic skills and historical knowledge.
We are committed to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that inspires pupils to embrace new ideas and become confident, compassionate and responsible global citizens.
